The lost and lonely

The lost and lonely

Take me to the King

I don’t have much to bring

My heart is torn in pieces

It’s my offering

Take me to the King- Tamela Mann

King of Kings and Lord of all lords, Prince of Peace, Wonderful Father, Everlasting God, Lord of hosts, Eternal Lord, the Bright and Morning Star , Sun of Righteousness and my All in all I cannot adequately exult in all your names. I come before You to give you my sacrifice of praise. You are really awesome O God.

Lord there are many who walk in this world today lost, lonely, confused and without any support or help. May you come to their help in their struggle. Please reveal yourself to them in their most difficult hour that they may run to You for help. Amen (2/26/17)

Those who differ from us

Those who differ from us

I’ve heard a thousand stories of what they think you’re like
But I’ve heard the tender whispers of love in the dead of night
And you tell me that you’re pleased
And that I’m never alone

You’re a good good father
It’s who you are, it’s who you are, it’s who you are
And I’m loved by you
It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am – Chris Tomlin

Lord I join the chorus of the heavenly host as they worship You. You are a God without equal, without a rival and cannot be compared to anyone else. You are the Wise King and I benefit daily from the wisdom You give to me. I am so grateful. You saved me from sin and destruction and I want my praise of You to be ever on my lips. Thank You so much my Lord and Savior.

Lord we find that increasingly our societies are getting sharply polarized as the struggle between those who do not recognize your sovereignty over their lives and those who do. Each side thinks the other is intolerant. Oftentimes as your children we tend to be dismissive of those who have a lifestyle that is different from ours but that is not what you want us to do. Help us dear Lord that we will learn to love those who differ from us and disagree with them without being disagreeable. May we not seek to win the argument only to lose the person. May we never forget our own humanity and sinfulness that we will have the right attitude You want us to have. Amen (2/12/17)

That we may be done with cancer

That we may be done with cancer

O for a thousand tongues to sing

My great Redeemer’s praise

The glories of my God and King

The triumphs of his grace- Charles Wesley

Ah Lord God thou hast made the heavens and the earth by thy great power, nothing indeed is too difficult for thee. My gracious Redeemer, my Savior and King. You are my Everything I worship You and I adore You. Your praise shall ever be on my lips O Lord. Thank you for all you continue to do for me

Lord we live in a world where cancer which takes many forms threaten our lives all the time. We have lost many –dear friends and loved ones to it. We are left devastated when we see them diagnosed with the disease and sometimes succumb to its ravages. There are efforts by the medical community to find a cure to it all. Some of what they have achieved so far looks promising but they have not been able to reach the cure. Lord we implore you please help our scientists to find a cure in the immediate future to this disease we pray. Please bless their efforts that the crucial breakthrough we need will come right now and the glory will go to You alone. Amen. (2/12/17)

For God and country

For God and Country

King of glory, King of peace,

I will love thee;

and, that love may never cease,

I will move thee.

Thou hast granted my request,

thou hast heard me;

thou didst note my working breast,

thou hast spared me. –George Herbert

Immortal, Invisible God I sing praises to your name. You are so wonderful. You are so mighty. No one, no one compares to You O Lord. Without You O Lord we are nothing. We are who we are because of You and we will never forget that. You are swift to bless and slow to be angry. You have given us the Holy Spirit to help us and we are so grateful. We worship and adore your holy Name. Thank you my Lord.

Lord we thank you that we have our nation. Our nation is experiencing so many changes on so many different fronts. Some of these changes leave us disturbed and confused. We realize our duty as citizens to be loyal to our country, please give us the strength and wisdom to be the kind of citizens we should be. Make us discerning that we will be able to respectfully hold our chosen leaders to account and help them to lead us rightly. May You rule in the affairs of this nation so that your Name will be glorified beyond all our inclinations. May You bless our nation. Amen. (2/5/17)
