Immortal, Invisible, the Only Wise God, I lift my heart and soul to You and not to any other. May your Great Name be praised and exalted always. May You receive your glory and honor. You leave us all speechless with all that You do and we cannot take anything for granted. With a heart of gratitude we worship You and say you are good and your mercies shall endure.

Lord in the course of this life we run into storms which take a toll on us. At this time our hearts go out to the many who have been affected in Texas and other parts by Hurricane Harvey. Many are still stranded and are clinging desperately to high places to save their very lives as more and more rain fall. Lord some have lost their lives and so many have lost their properties in the floods and do not know what they will do after the flood goes away. We know You care about all of them. May You be their guide, their comforter, provider and strength at this difficult time. Amen. (8/29/17)

Lord I come to You with my sacrifice of praise. I look at You in wonderment at all You do for me and the many close shaves I have had in the past week. My Protector, my Guide, my Companion, my Supplier I am only left speechless. Indeed You are an awesome God and I am filled with nothing short of abundant gratefulness. Thank You my Lord.

Lord there are days when we don’t seem to get through to You the way we would want. Despite all our prayers everything seems to keep on unraveling all around and we feel so out of sorts. Lord all we do in our desperate helplessness is we just resign ourselves to You because we know that we have to wait for You to act on our behalf in your perfect time. Lord in such moments may we feel You holding us ever closer and may we be also able to hear your reassuring voice above all the noise around us and cling closer still to You. Amen (8/22/17)

Being strong

 

Lord Jesus, when my courage fails,

when my familiar world is falling apart,

when light is lost to shades of grey,

then give to me again a trusting heart:

refresh in me the confidence to know

your love that will not let me go.

 

Lord Jesus, when my body fails

and inner demons bar the way to hope,

when drear depression pulls me down,

then give my struggling spirit strength to cope,

that, trustful in the good, I see God’s hand

Lord you have made the earth and sky and the world that we live in. Let all the earth praise you and hear your voice. Lord you made us puny human beings and You care so much for us. Your love is so wonderful and overwhelming and we just cannot give back enough to show our gratefulness. May our praise of you be ceaseless, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. Thank you, dear Lord.

Lord there are many fears that grip us from day to day. We have fears about our health. We have fears about our finances. We have fears about the economy. We have fears about our jobs. We have fears about our families. We have fears about our security in the face of terrorism. We have fears about our careers. We have so many fears. Some are so deep that we don’t realize them till we react when something happens. Lord help us to be able to commit all our fears the named and the unnamed to You because there is nothing that we can really do except for you to intervene. Help us O Lord. Amen.(8/13/17)

Lord I come to You with a heart full of gratefulness and a mouth filled with praise. O how do I start and where do I end you have done so much for me this week. You are really my Shepherd and you lead, guide and protect your children. I stand in awe of all that you do. Truly you are my victory banner. Let me lift up your great name on high and let me fall down to worship You, my Lord and my Provider.

Lord sometimes in the course of our life’s journey we yield to the temptations of the evil one and we stray away from you. For some of us we stay away so long that we find it difficult finding our way back to you. We get so entangled in the affairs of the world and we continue to make wrong choices leading us deeper into problems. Lord when we get into this situation please continue to have mercy on us. Help us to be able to hear and heed your voice that you might rescue and deliver us. Amen.(8/6/17)
